Typically catering for children who are 2.5 to 3.5 years
This learning environment, capped at 14 children, sees children that are a little more confident in their skills and seeks to provide learning that is a little more complex. While ensuring safety and enjoyment, children are supported to develop their self-help skills, make choices about their learning and challenge themselves. Educators appreciate the complexity of social peer relationships and support the children to navigate these daily. The developmental skills that are crucial for this age group are purposefully considered by the educators in this environment and learning aims to assist each child in their transition to Kindergarten. Children in this environment will explore early literacy and numeracy concepts, gain an increasing understanding and appreciation for the natural environment and take increasing responsibility for their own health and wellbeing.
